Recipes
One aim of this site is to give home bakers sufficient understanding of the baking process that they will feel confident in adapting recipes and devising their own, so please don't expect detailed recipes for every imaginable style of bread. My own recipe for walnut bread, for example, goes something like this:
Make some bread.
With walnuts in it.
Having said that, there are a few archetypal bread styles that I recommend you try, and it is worth learning these from a good recipe. I will add to the list below from time to time, so if you think there's a glaring omission, please do let me know.
If you haven't already done so, I strongly recommend that you read through the Understanding Bread and Equipment and Techniques sections before you start making bread (or at least quite soon after if you're serious about developing your baking skills). Remember that no recipe is set in stone - as you gain experience, you will learn to adapt recipes to your own taste and your own routine and way of working. The recipes are given in increasing order of difficulty, so if you're a new baker, I recommend starting with pita breads.
Other recipes in future will appear in the blog and forum pages.
